Reserving a puppy

Finding the perfect families and homes for our puppies is a priority!

These are some of the questions that will be asked for potential pup owners.

Please keep in mind there is no perfect answer, these questions are

designed to determine if a rat terrier would be a good fit for you, your family and lifestyle. If you feel that any of these questions is unreasonable or should not be of concern to LSRT you should not contact us to reserve a puppy. LSRT feels all of these questions are relevant to owning and caring for one of our dogs.

These are some typical questions:

1. Do you have any other pets, or have you owned a dog before?

2. Are you familiar with terrier breeds or the rat terrier specifically?

3. What type of lifestyle do you have, subjects may include, activities, work load, children, etc.

4. Living arrangements. Do you have immediate access to the outdoors?

This is not an exhaustive list but should give potential dog owners an idea of what LSRT talks about during a typical phone call. Every individual and family are different and each person will be considered on a case by case basis.

Please understand that LSRT is dedicated to keeping and breeding effective rating dogs, although our rat terriers are fantastic companion and family dogs, preference will be given to current and former dog owners. The energy of this breed requires individuals and families that dedicate adequate time to training and exercising on a daily basis. The majority of our pups are sold to former or current rat terrier owners. LSRT does not believe that the rat terrier is the optimal breed choice for the unexperienced.

Deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. By putting a deposit down, you are agreeing to purchase a puppy from the discussed litter. If deposit is received by pay pal or EMT , buyer is agreeing to terms of Deposit Agreement on the Website, if deposit is received in person buyer agrees to Deposit Agreement. All our pups are picked up directly by the owners. Owners are responsible for picking up the pup at 8-9 weeks of age.
